Donald Hampton Jr.


Chief Executive Officer

Donald Hampton Jr. (Donnie) joined Pace Industries as President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2020. Previously, Donnie was as an executive officer delivering more than two decades of global leadership for premier companies such as Honeywell International /Allied Signal, Maxion Wheels/Hayes Lemmerz, Rea Magnet Wire Company and Faurecia. Throughout his previous roles he ignited revenue and profit growth, equity value creation, and world-class standards of operational excellence.

He began his professional career with Allied Signal in Fostoria, Ohio as a Supervisor at their spark plug plant. After holding several roles with increasing responsibility at Allied Signal, Donnie joined Hayes Lemmerz International in Detroit, Michigan as the Director of Operational Excellence for North America. He progressed through various leadership roles including: Vice President-North America, Vice President and General Manager – North and South America, and Vice President of Global Manufacturing. He left Hayes Lemmerz to assume the role of Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Rea Magnet Wire in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After two years at Rea Magnet Wire, he joined Faurecia in 2016 as the President North America Interiors Division.

Donnie was born and raised in Fostoria, Ohio and is a graduate of Fostoria High School. Mr. Hampton is also a veteran of eight years with two branches of service having served in the Army National Guard and with the United States Navy in Atsugi, Japan. He earned both his BBA in Accounting and an MBA from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of that institution.


Chief Financial Officer

Craig Potter has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Pace Industries since 2008, responsible for all financial functions including forecasting, accounting, treasury, supply chain management, as well as information technology.

Craig began his career with Pace in 1992 as the controller of the Harrison plant and, from there, progressed to positions including Vice President of Accounting and Head of Strategic Material Sourcing, before moving to Operations in 2003. Over the course of his 29 years with the company, he has gained extensive knowledge of the business with additional responsibility for purchasing and M&A activities.

Prior to joining Pace, Craig served as an auditor for Frost, PLLC.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Louisiana Monroe.


Chief Human Resources Officer

Ericka Stephens joined Pace Industries as Chief Human Resources Officer in July 2020. She brings with her over 19 years of HR management experience and a focus on attracting, developing, and retaining the best people.  In this role, she is responsible for cultivating and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.

Prior to joining Pace, Ericka served as the Deputy Vice President of Human Resources for Faurecia, a publicly held tier one global automotive manufacturing supplier. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions in the transportation industry and higher education. Ericka’s areas of expertise include HR operations, labor relations, succession planning, performance development, and high-impact training and engagement programs.

Ericka is a true Michigander – born and raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management and master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. She also obtained the Ignite People and Teams Certification from the London School of Business in 2019.


Chief Operating Officer

Robert (Bob) Varsanik joined Pace Industries as Chief Operations Officer in November 2020. Bringing with him over 35 years of manufacturing experience, Bob emerged out of a quick one-week retirement from his former role as General Manager – Transmission, Casting & Components Division from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) where he oversaw daily operations and engineering across seven facilities.

Previously, Bob served as the Head of Supplier Quality at FCA with oversight of 2,400 NAFTA supplier locations. His responsibilities consisted of current supplier issues, advanced planning for new vehicle launches, powertrain, as well as global operations and system integration.  Throughout his career, he has held numerous positions including General Manager – Engine Division, Plant Manager, Director of Transmission Program Management, Senior Manufacturing and Engineering Manager, and Launch Coordinator.

Bob was born in New Haven, Connecticut but lived in Indiana most of his life before moving to Michigan with his wife and three children 16 years ago. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology in 1986 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and an MBA in 1996 from the University of Indianapolis. Additionally, Mr. Varsanik joined NADCA as a board member in 2021.

Jason Allen


Chief Marketing Officer

Jason Allen has served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Pace Industries since 2018. In this role, he is responsible for leading all commercial functions within the organization.

He began his career at Pace in 1997 as a sales manager, quickly achieving success and advancing to Director by exceeding growth targets in strategic markets and expansion into Mexico. From there, he continued to lead sales teams across the company, delivering significant organic growth by increasing major customer wallet share. In 2013, Jason was promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales. In this role, he implemented a new go-to-market and selling strategy, which yielded the highest closing percentage and new business awards.

Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of Arkansas and his MBA from John Brown University. While at the University of Arkansas, he was a four-year letterman and team captain as a quarterback for the Razorbacks. In his spare time, he serves on various non-profit companies aimed at coaching and mentoring athletes.

Vince Marino


Chief Strategy Officer

Vince Marino joined Pace Industries as Chief Strategy Officer in September 2020.  In this role, he is responsible for the company’s corporate strategy, driving the long-term strategic planning process and ensuring alignment between the enterprise, operational and M&A strategies.  He leads the development, execution, and sustainment of the key corporate initiatives.

Vince has over a decade of experience as an executive and operating partner in private equity across a variety of companies and industries.  Before joining Pace, he served as an executive for W5 Group, a real estate focused investment fund.  Prior to that, he was an executive for Lone Star Capital in the energy infrastructure industry, and managing director for Tavistock Group, a multibillion-dollar global private investment firm with over 100 portfolio companies.  During that time, he served on multiple boards, investment committees, and led the operations and portfolio management group.

Vince began his career in public accounting and management consulting. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Steffan Sarkin


Executive Vice President – General Counsel

Steffan Sarkin has served as the General Counsel at Pace Industries since 2008, providing legal-business leadership in the form of effective ideas, solutions, and execution to advance the corporate vision.

In his previous role with Pace, Steffan spent 12 years as the M&A and strategy executive. This experience, coupled with a long career in investment banking prior to joining the team in 1996, brings strong business and financial acumen to the legal advisory role.

Steffan earned his Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science and his master’s degree in corporate law, Bachelor of Laws, and Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
